Peer Mentoring
The Academic Success Center (ASC) offers an Academic Peer Mentoring program at no charge to all undergraduate students at UNLV. This program provides students with opportunity to meet one-on-one with a mentor for academic support and guidance. Mentors are trained graduate students who assist students with college transitional issues and effective learning strategies in many areas including:
- Time Management
- Reducing Stress and Test Anxiety
- Effective Note-Taking
- Test Preparation
- Test-taking Skills
- Transition to college anxiety
Ultimately, the goal of this program is to provide students with skills that will help them succeed in their future academic and professional career goals.

Requesting a Peer Mentor:
Students wishing to request a Peer Mentor may do so by completing a Peer Mentor Request Form. Once you have completed the Peer Mentor request form you can email it to Tutoring@unlv.edu or submit the request form at the ASC located across from the Student Services Complex (Bldg. #22 on campus map)
