Tutoring
The Academic Success Center (ASC) offers small group and drop-in lab tutoring for courses like ACCOUNTING, BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, ECONOMICS, MATH, PHILOSOPHY, PSYCHOLOGY, and PHYSICS. Subjects are added based on tutoring requests and availability. Tutoring is provided throughout the school year so students can sign up anytime for assistance. All UNLV students are welcome to stop by the Academic Success Center to learn more about the tutoring program.
Requesting a Tutor
Students wishing to request tutoring may do so by completing a tutoring request form (DOC). The ASC staff will make every effort to accommodate requests. Students requesting tutoring will be contacted once the request has been fulfilled. Tutoring costs $50 a subject for either small group (2-5 students) or drop-in lab tutoring. Tutoring fee will be reduced to $25 after the mid-term of every semester.
Becoming a Tutor
We are currently seeking individuals with strong interpersonal communication skills who are willing to assist a diverse group of students with entry-level courses. Tutors must have completed the course(s) they wish to tutor with a grade of 'B' or higher, and have a faculty recommendation. All prospective tutors must complete and submit the application form (DOC) along with a faculty recommendation (DOC) to the ASC. Completed applications will be accepted throughout the school year.

A current list of the most requested subjects for tutoring. Additional subjects will be added based on need and availability.
Peer Mentoring
This program works in collaboration with tutoring services to link undergraduate students seeking general academic success tips to a trained academic peer mentor.
